Despoina Asteri was born in Corinth in 1990, she is a graduate of the Athens Conservatory of Music and a final year saxophone graduate of the Apollonius Conservatory with professor Stathis Mavromatis.

She has performed classical saxophone works such as Fantasia for solo saxophone by Dinos Konstantinidis, J.S. Bach, A. Glazounov, Paulu Bonneau, D. Sostakovich.For years she was a member of the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Municipality of Corinth and was an official member of the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Municipality of Aspropyrgos.
She serves as a saxophone teacher at the Music School of Corinth.

She has attended seminars with the world-renowned saxophonist/composer and conductor Professor Alain Crepin, the Professional Saxophone Association and has participated in online seminars on conducting a wind orchestra (band).
She recently recorded Claude Debussy’s “Syrinx” at the Dimitris Mitropoulos Hall of the Athens Concert Hall.

She is a graduate of the Athens University of Economics and Business (ASOEE) and runs an accounting firm with her husband.
