Adolphe Sax (1814–1894), the inventor of the saxophone, had a life that seems almost like a novel — full of ingenuity, but also incredible misfortune.
🔎 A lesser-known fact:In his childhood, he was called “the disaster boy” because he survived a series of incredible accidents. He fell from a three-story window, swallowed acid, was burned by gunpowder, was poisoned by varnish fumes, and was even found drowning in a river — all before he turned 10! His mother said that “her son was doomed not to live,” and yet he survived, as if life had destined him to create something special.
🎷 Despite the difficulties, Sax remained in history thanks to his perseverance and, of course, the invention of the saxophone, which changed music forever
